Gymnast of the Week: Nevaeh DeSouza, So., CALIFORNIA (Fairfield, Calif.)

  • Led California in two meets against Washington, securing four first-place and four second-place finishes against the Huskies. 
  • Across eight individual events, scored at least a 9.850 and posted three marks of at least 9.900 en route to all-around totals of 39.550 and 39.525.
  • Set a new career-high on the uneven bars (9.925); also added a 9.925 on vault. 
  • Second Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honor of the 2021 season. 

Specialist of the Week: Kyana George, Sr., CALIFORNIA (McKinney, Texas)

  • Won three of the five events she competed in, including a career-high 9.975 floor performance against the Huskies. 
  • Recorded three scores of at least 9.900, with her 9.975 floor score tying the top mark in program history. 
  • Helped lead the Bears to their third-highest collective score ever (197.600), one week after setting the new record. 
  • First Specialist of the Week honor of the 2021 season. 

Freshman/Newcomer of the Week: Andi Li, Fr., CALIFORNIA (Aurora, Ill.)

  • Won her first career all-around title (39.550) against Washington, participating in all four individual events throughout both meets. 
  • Finished in the top-four across all of her performances, including first with a career-high 9.900 on the beam. 
  • Set a new personal best with a 9.950 floor score on Sunday, punctuating California’s 197.600 team score. 
  • Second Freshman of the Week honor of the 2021 season. 

Coaches Choice: Pauline Tratz, Sr., UCLA (Karlsruhe, Germany)

  • Competed in two events against San Jose State, tying for first place on the floor (9.925) and tying for second on the vault (9.875) as the leadoff competitor. 
  • UCLA’s floor score of 49.500 set a new season high, while the Bruins also tied their collective team-high total of 197.100. 
  • Second Coaches Choice selection for UCLA (Sara Ulias) in 2021.
