MEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Clement Chidekh, Jr., WASHINGTON (Lyon, France)
- Became the first ever Husky to be ranked No. 1 nationally in singles.
- Playing his first match ranked as the No. 1 singles player in the nation, Chidekh defeated Wisconsin's No. 1 Player Jared Pratt in straight sets (6-4, 6-1) to help the Huskies earn the win against Wisconsin (5-2).
- Partnered with teammate Nedim Suko playing at at No. 2 doubles, 36th-ranked Chidekh and Suko won their first two games, then lost four in a row, but came back to win four in a row for a 6-4 win over Wisconsin’s Lenard Soha and Tim Dzhurinskiy.
- Chidekh is now 6-0 in dual singles matches at the No. 1 singles position, leading Washington ( 9-3) as they head into their first Pac-12 match at Oregon.

WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Abbey Forbes, Jr., UCLA (Raleigh, N.C.)
- Led the Bruins to knock off No. 7 California (Feb. 21, 6-1) and No. 12 USC (Feb. 25, 4-1).
- Playing at No.1 singles, posted 6-4, 7-5 win against fifth-ranked Eryn Cayetano to earn the clinching point in UCLA’s win against USC (4-1).
- Partnered with Ava Catanzarite, clinched the doubles point against crosstown rivals with 6-2 defeat over 19th-ranked Salma Ewing and Snow Han.
- After dropping the doubles point, Forbes kicked off UCLA’s singles sweep over No. 7 California with a win over Haley Giavara (6-1, 6-1) on Court 1.
- Now has three wins versus nationally-ranked singles opponents this season, two in doubles play.
