As the college football season reaches its midpoint, it's becoming clearer who the top players in the Pac-12 are.

Football analytics company Pro Football Focus watches every player on every play and has graded these student-athletes as the best at their positions through seven weeks. (Note that these ratings do not reflect the views of the Pac-12.)

Quarterbacks

  1. Cameron Rising (Utah) — 88.8
  2. Caleb Williams (USC) — 85.9
  3. Michael Penix Jr. (Washington) — 82.9
  4. Bo Nix (Oregon) — 79.9
  5. Chance Nolan (Oregon State) — 78.9

Despite having what would be the greatest completion percentage (74.8) in Pac-12 history, UCLA's Dorian Thompson-Robinson is graded as the eighth-best QB in the conference. Stanford's Tanner McKee, who one PFF analyst projects as the No. 6 pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, is sixth, showing how deep the quarterback position is in the Pac-12.
