Pac-12 returns to Las Vegas and Michelob ULTRA Arena for the 2023 Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life

LAS VEGAS – The 2023 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life, is finally here and all 12 teams from across the Conference are ready to descend upon Las Vegas and compete for the Pac-12 title and punch their ticket to the “Big Dance.” The tournament takes place March 1-5, 2023 and returns to Michelob ULTRA Arena, with fans able to enjoy a wide array of entertainment options, recognitions, and Pac-12 activations throughout the week’s festivities. 

All games in the tournament ahead of the championship game will air on Pac-12 Network and Pac-12.com. The championship game will air on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. MT.

Know Before You Go

  • Doors Open – Arena doors will open at the following times:
    • Wednesday, March 1 (First Round) – Session 1: 11 a.m. PT, Session 2: 5 p.m. PT
    • Thursday, March 2 (Quarterfinals) – Session 3: 11 a.m. PT, Session 4: 5 p.m. PT
    • Friday, March 3 (Semifinals) – Session 5: 5 p.m. PT
    • Sunday, March 5 (Championship Game) – Session 6: 1 p.m. PT

  • Parking – Fans can purchase parking access at the Mandalay Bay Parking Garage, which is open 24 hours a day. 

2023 #Pac12WBB Entertainment Information (subject to change)

  • Halftime Entertainment  – The tournament will feature an action-packed slate of halftime entertainment, including the following acts and recognitions:
    • America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live – Pack Drumline, AGT Season 17 semi-finalist drum and percussion group as well as one of the newest artists in “America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live” at Luxor Hotel and Casino, will perform the halftime show for the championship game on Sunday, March 5.
    • America’s Got Talent – “Human Slinky” from the hit show America’s Got Talent will be featured at halftime during the second tournament semifinal matchup on Friday, March 3.
    • Shows from the Rio – A quartet of halftime performances throughout the tournament will feature performing acts from the Rio in Las Vegas, including the shows, “Rogue” and “WOW”. 
    • Las Vegas Aces – The Pac-12 will host members of the defending WNBA Champion Las Vegas Aces during the quarterfinal session on Thursday, March 2.
    • Culture Shock – On Thursday, March 2, Culture Shock, a non-profit dance company dedicated to innovative performance, artist development, and community enrichment, will perform at halftime and include members and allies of the LGBTQIA+ community.
    • Mascot Madness – All 12 mascots will compete in a 6-on-6 basketball game at halftime during the first session of games on Wednesday, March 1, available for fans and media members to enjoy.
    • Hall of Honor Recognition – There will be a special recognition of the 2023 class into the Pac-12 Hall of Honor during halftime of the first semifinal matchup of the tournament on Friday, March 3. It’s the first ever all-female class inducted into the Hall of Honor in recognition of the 50th anniversary of the passage of Title IX. Additional information on the 2023 class can be found here
  • National Anthem Performances – Pac-12 fans will enjoy a collection of national anthem performances throughout tournament, including the following:
    • Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil – The national anthem ahead of the championship game on Sunday, March 5 will be performed by a singer from  Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque du Soleil, which is celebrating its 10 year anniversary at Mandalay Bay this June.
    • America’s Got Talent’s Kodi Lee – Season 14 winner of America’s Got Talent and performer in “America’s Got Talent Presents SUPERSTARS Live” at Luxor, Kodi Lee, will perform the national anthem ahead of the first semifinal matchup of the tournament on Friday, March 3. 
    • University Bands – National anthem performances from university bands will take place throughout the duration of the tournament for fans to enjoy.
  • Pac-12 After Dark Dance Party – During the final game of each of the four game sessions, fans will be able to participate in a Pac-12 After Dark Dance Party, featuring music, DJ performances, glow sticks, and more.
  • Trophy Presentation – Following the championship game on Sunday, March 5, the 2023 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament Championship trophy, as well as the Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament Most Outstanding Player and All-Tournament Team, will be presented on the court. 

2023 #Pac12WBB Activation Information

  • MGM Grand – A regal lion display will highlight a Pac-12 activation in the lobby of the MGM Grand will serve as the perfect photo backdrop for fans to enjoy.
  • Pep Rallies – Pep rallies featuring university bands and spirit squads will take place prior to each session outside the entrance to Michelob ULTRA Arena.
  • Olympians Made Here – Celebrations of current and former Pac-12 student-athletes who competed in recent Olympics and Paralympics in Tokyo (2020 Summer Games) and Beijing (2022 Winter Games) will take place throughout the tournament, with fans additionally able to participate in Olympic-themed games. 
  • Gift Card / Ticket Giveaways – Throughout the tournament, fans will be surprised with gift cards to enjoy meals at Aria’s Julian Serrano Tapas restaurant, as well as Lago, Spago, and Sadelle’s at Bellagio. Fans will also be able to win tickets to see the Aces and the Las Vegas Desert Dogs from the National Lacrosse League.
  • Autographed Basketball – Fans can enter to win an autographed basketball signed by all 12 Pac-12 women’s basketball head coaches for providing feedback on the event.
