SAN FRANCISCO – Conference play is in full swing for Pac-12 softball, with a trio of three-game series on deck this weekend featuring five ranked programs on Pac-12 Networks and the Pac-12 Now app.

Programming Highlights: Pac-12 Softball

  • Pac-12 Networks features three series this weekend, all kicking off on Friday, March 17 with No. 10 Washington at No. 3 UCLA, No. 7 Stanford at No. 20 Oregon, and Utah at No. 17 Arizona.
  • Pac-12 Network’s coverage of the top-10 series between No. 3 UCLA and No. 10 Washington begins at 5 p.m. PT / 6 p.m. MT on Friday, March 17. Anne Marie Anderson and Amanda Freed are on the call for the first home series of the Conference season for the Bruins, who enter the weekend 25-2 behind pitching and hitting up and down the lineup. Senior Maya Brady and freshman Megan Grant lead the club with 32 RBI apiece while ace Megan Faraimo has compiled an 11-1 record thus far. Washington has won three-straight to move to 21-4 on the year, most recently securing a 7-1 win over UNLV on Tuesday, March 14 that saw five Huskies drive a runner home.
  • The second ranked series of the weekend features No. 7 Stanford and No. 20 Oregon, squaring off in Eugene with game one scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. MT on Pac-12 Bay Area. Fans will not want to miss any appearance from Cardinal freshman pitcher NiJaree Canady, who has tossed 48.0-consecutive scoreless innings to open her collegiate career. The 18-6 Ducks are led by catcher Terra McGowan and infielder Allee Bunker, who have combined for 51 RBI on the season. Rich Burk is set to call the live action all weekend from Jane Sanders Stadium.
  • Pac-12 Arizona and Pac-12 Mountain are home to Friday’s coverage of Utah and No. 17 Arizona, with first pitch set for 6 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. MT. The Utes arrive in Tucson receiving votes in the recent USA Today/NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll, just missing out on a national ranking after compiling a 19-4 record to start the season. Perennial powerhouse Arizona has scored at least nine runs in six of its last seven games and looks to extend a two-game winning streak after a pair of run-rule victories over New Mexico State on Wednesday. Brian Webber is on the call for the series for Pac-12 Networks.
