Cal Evens Series With 11-4 Win Over USC Baseball

IRVINE, Calif. – After winning the series opener on Friday night, the USC baseball team fell to California, 11-4, on Saturday afternoon to even the series.
 
USC Falls to 22-24 overall with the loss and 12-10 in Pac-12 play. The Golden Bears improve to 27-17 overall and 13-13 in conference action.
 
The Trojans erased an early 1-0 deficit with three runs in the third inning. Kevin Takeuchi tripled home a pair and Brayden Dowd singled home one. A Ryan Jackson RBI in the fourth made it 4-1 USC.
 
After scoring a run in the sixth, Cal put up five runs in the seventh to take the lead for good. The Golden Bears capped their scoring with three runs in the ninth as well.
