State's Top Recruit, Zoom Diallo, Signs With Washington

May 7, 2024

SEATTLE – Highly-touted local four-star recruit Zoom Diallo officially committed to the University of Washington, Danny Sprinkle announced.

A 6'4" guard from Tacoma, Wash., Diallo is the top recruit in the state of Washington, the No. 3 point guard in the country and ranks 43rd overall according to ESPN's Top-100 rankings.

"We are thrilled to announce that Zoom will be staying in Seattle to play for his hometown Huskies," Sprinkle said. "He is one of the best high school basketball players in the nation and will have an immediate impact on our team at the collegiate level. His quickness has allowed him to be an excellent scorer and facilitator. He is a terrific kid and has a magnetic personality which is great to have as a point guard. We can't wait to have him on campus."

The 2022-23 Washington Gatorade Player of the Year averaged 20.2 points per game in his junior season, leading Tacoma Curtis Senior High School to a second consecutive Washington Class 4A state championship. Diallo played at Prolific Prep (California) for his senior season and was a McDonald's All-American.
