Huskies Storm Into Moraga

Washington (2-1) dodged raindrops long enough during its opening weekend to play three games in two days at Santa Clara. The Huskies won twice and lost once, but were unable to get in a scheduled fourth game after being rained out three times over five days. The Huskies move across the Bay to Moraga where they will be hosted by St. Mary's (2-0) for a four-game series starting Thursday and running through Sunday. All four games will be played in the day.

Huskies Washed Out In Santa Clara Again

For the third time during their first road series of the year, the Huskies have been postponed. Tuesday's game against Santa Clara was canceled due to poor field conditions and the game will not be made up. The 10th-ranked Huskies ended up winning two-of-three games against the Broncos.

RAINOUT: UW Will Play Makeup Game Tuesday

Game four of the series between Washington and Santa Clara scheduled for Monday at 6:00 p.m. has been postponed due to heavy rain in California. The two teams will try to play the game on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m.

Freshmen Lift Huskies Past Santa Clara, 8-1

A pair of freshmen came through big for the 12th-ranked Huskies as they beat Santa Clara, 8-1, Sunday afternoon at Stephen Schott Stadium. Catcher Nick Kahle drove in five runs and pitcher Jordan Jones stuck out nine batters over six innings to pick up the win in his first collegiate start and give the Huskies a 2-1 advantage in the four-game series.

Huskies Rally In Ninth For Season-Opening Win

Washington scored once in the eighth and exploded for four runs in the ninth inning to flip a 2-0 deficit into a 5-2 win over Santa Clara as the 12th-ranked Huskies escaped with an improbable season-opening win in game one of a doubleheader Saturday at Stephen Schott Stadium.
