SEATTLE – University of Washington women's basketball head coach Jody Wynn announced on Thursday (Nov. 16) the signing off a pair of talented high school players Haley Van Dyke and Tyiona "TT" Watkins to National Letters of Intent to join the Huskies for the 2018-19 academic year.
SEATTLE --- Amber Melgoza scored a career-high 20 points and Mai-Loni Henson and Khayla Rooks each added 13 points as Washington gave Head Coach Jody Wynn her first victory as a Husky with an 80-72 win over BYU on Wednesday night.
SEATTLE --- The Washington Women's Basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, hosting Brigham Young University in a non-conference game on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The contest is the final home game for the Huskies in the month of November as they play the next four away from home before returning to Alaska Airlines Arena on Dec. 3.
SEATTLE --- The Washington Women's Basketball team opens the 2017-18 season on Sunday afternoon against Idaho State University at 1:00 p.m. at Alaska Airlines Arena. The game will be the first meeting between the two teams in nearly 30 years. Overall, the Huskies hold a 3-0 all-time advantage against Idaho State including an 87-51 victory when the teams last met back in the 1987-88 season.
