The No. 25 Stanford Cardinal use a strong defensive effort and get a big night from Kevin Hogan to beat the Washington State Cougars 34-17 Friday night at Stanford. WSU's Connor Halliday was held to 303 passing yards on 71 attempts after throwing for an FBS-record 734 yards last week. Hogan tossed three touchdown passes and finished with 284 yards in the air.
