Roundup: DeMar DeRozan traded to San Antonio in deal for Kawhi Leonard

USC men’s basketball alum DeMar DeRozan was traded from the Toronto Raptors to the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday morning alongside former Ute Jakob Poeltl and a 2019 first round draft pick (top-20 protected) in exchange for Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green.

Former Stanford basketball stars Chiney and Nneka Ogwumike were named 2018 WNBA All-Stars, it was announced on Tuesday. The WNBA All-Star Game will take place July 28 in Minneapolis.

Former Oregon State wide receiver Brandin Cooks signed a 5-year, $81 million extension with the Los Angeles Rams on Tuesday (NFL.com). Cooks was traded from New England to Los Angeles in April.

Deandre Ayton was named a second-team All-NBA Summer League selection on Tuesday, Bruce Pascoe notes. The No. 1 overall pick averaged 14.5 points, 10.5 rebounds and a block per game on 59.5 percent shooting.
