BERKELEY – Four Cal players were named to the Pro Football Focus Midseason All-Pac-12 squads announced Wednesday. Jordan Kunaszyk and Ashtyn Davis were first-team selections while Patrick Mekari and Evan Weaver picked up second-team recognition.

FIRST-TEAM

Ashtyn Davis, S, 6-1, 190, Jr., 2L, Santa Cruz, CA (Santa Cruz HS)

• On the watch list for the Paul Hornung Award given annually to the nation's most versatile player
• Has started all six games and registered 25 tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, two pass breakups and one fumble recovery
• Also has 11 kick returns for 308 yards and one touchdown with his 28.0 yard average leading the Pac-12 and 13th nationally

Jordan Kunaszyk, ILB, 6-3, 235, Sr., 2L, Sacramento, CA (American River College/Roseville HS)

• An All-American and national honors candidate who is on the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Butkus Award®
• Tied for the nation's lead in solo tackles (53) and solo tackles per game (8.8) while raking third in total tackles per contest (12.7)
• Has started all six games and totaled 76 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards), 1.5 sacks (-7 yards), three forced fumbles and one quarterback hurry
• Has recorded double-digit tackles in each of his last five contests including a career-high 22 in his most recent game against UCLA that were the most since Jerrott Willard had the same number against USC in 1993

SECOND TEAM

Patrick Mekari, OL, 6-4, 320, Sr., 3L, Westlake Village, CA (Westlake HS)

• On the watch list for the Outland Trophy given annually to the nation's top interior lineman on either side of the football
• Has played in and started the first six games at left tackle and helped the offense improve by an average of 53.2 yards per game rushing from 125.6 in 2017 to 178.8 over the first six games of 2018
• Named Cal's Offensive Player of the Week in the season opener against North Carolina

Evan Weaver, ILB, 6-3, 245, Jr., 2L, Spokane, WA (Gonzaga Prep)

• Added to the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy after the first four games and has started all six contests
• Ranks tied for 11th nationally with an average of 6.2 solo tackles per game
• Has started all six games and totaled 65 tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss (-12 yards), four pass breakups and one quarterback hurry
• Recorded double-digit tackles in each of his first four contests and has nine or more in five of six including a career-high-tying 14 against both North Carolina and Oregon
