BERKELEY – After another standout semester in the classroom, the Golden Bears are once again recipients of Zag Field Hockey/National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Division I National Academic Team honors, the organization announced Monday.
 
The award is bestowed upon teams across Division I field hockey that earned a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher through the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. Cal is one of 76 programs to earn recognition.
 
The NFHCA's National Academic Squad list, which includes all student-athletes with a GPA of 3.3 or higher, will be announced next week.
