SANTA CRUZ, Calif. – California (354-351-341 – 1046, -4) got off to a strong start and briefly moved into the lead on the front nine of Wednesday's third and final round at the 73rd annual Western Intercollegiate presented by Top Golf before eventually settling for a second-place finish six strokes behind Stanford (354-346-340 – 1040, -10).

KK Limbhasut (70-70-64 – 204, -6) led the Golden Bears' effort with a fourth-place finish and had the best round of the day Wednesday with a six-under par 64 that tied the best of his collegiate career. Limbhasut began the round in a tie for 11th.

Collin Morikawa (71-70-66 – 207, -3) extended his string of consecutive top-10 finishes to 15 dating back to last season with a tied for seventh-place showing. Morikawa, who moved up eight spots Wednesday with a four-under par 66, had finished in the top five in each of his previous eight events this season and was a single stroke from extended that run to nine in a row.

Sebastian Crampton (70-69-73 – 212, +2) dropped eight spots into a tie for 17th finish, while Kaiwen Liu (72-71-70 – 213, +3) was down a single spot to finish in a tie for 24th, James Song (76-71-68 – 215, +5) up 17 spots to tie for 33rd. and Jamie Cheatham (71-71-76 – 218, +8) up 28 to tie for 47th.

Stanford's Isaiah Salinda (64-68-70 – 202, -8) earned individual medalist honors by defeating San Jose State's Sean Yu (64-71-67 – 202, -8) on the fifth playoff hole. Salinda forced a playoff with a birdie on the par-three 18th hole and then after each player made par on each of the first four holes of the playoff (18, 18, 10, 17) made another on the 18th when he found the bottom of the cup from seven feet for the win.

GOLF Channel provided three hours of live television each day of the tournament and will air a replay of Wednesday's third and final round Wednesday at 8:30 pm PT and Thursday at 9 am.

Cal returns to action April 22-24 at the Pac-12 Championships to be played at Eugene Country Club.
