2023 AVCA All-Region Teams

A total of 25 Pac-12 women's volleyball student-athletes and one head coach were recognized Tuesday when the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its Division I All-Region awards.

Stanford's Kendall Kipp, fresh off garnering her second straight Pac-12 Player of the Year award, earned back-to-back Pacific North Region Player of the Year honors as well; California's Maggie Li, the 2023 Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, became the program's first Pacific North Region Freshman of the Year in addition to being the first Cal freshman to earn All-Region honors as an Honorable Mention selection. Li is also the only freshman to be included on the Pacific North Region Team in 2023.

In all, 13 were named to the Pacific North All-Region First Team and four more collected honorable mention honors. Stanford and Oregon led the way with six selections apiece, followed by Washington State with three and California and Washington with one each.

In the Pacific South Region, USC's Skylar Fields was selected as the Pacific South Region Player of the Year, becoming the first Trojan to earn the honor since the regional player of the year awards were introduced in 2017. Arizona State's J.J. Van Niel, the 2023 Pac-12 Coach of the Year, earned the program's first Pacific South Region Coach of the Year award while ASU's four first-team selections were the most by any school in the region and made history as the Sun Devils had never received more than one. USC and UCLA each garnered two honorees apiece.

Four Pac-12 teams - Stanford, Oregon, Washington State and Arizona State - won their first two NCAA matches last weekend to advance to this week's Sweet 16. The No. 1-seeded Cardinal and the tournament's No. 2 overall seed, will host the Sun Devils on Thursday after Arizona State was the only Pac-12 opponent to hand Stanford a loss in league play this season. Oregon will take on Purdue in Wisconsin on Thursday with Washington State traveling to No. 1 seed Pittsburgh for its third-round matchup the same day.
