PULLMAN, Wash.
Incoming transfer Rajanah Reed has signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at Washington State next season, head coach Todd Shulenberger announced Thursday. Reed is an attacking midfielder and forward from Glendale, Ariz., who has developed in the Utah Royals FC Academy system.
Graduating from Deer Valley High School in 2021, Reed ran track and played soccer for the Sky Hawks. As a freshman on the soccer field in 2017-18, Reed was named first team all-league in the West Valley League and earned all-region honors after scoring a school-record 36 goals.
Transitioning strictly to club play, Reed competed for the Utah Royals in the U.S Soccer Development Academy after playing for the SC del Sol her first year in the league. In 2019-20, Reed scored 18 goals in 19 games, finishing second on the team to rising Coug senior Margie Detrizio, as the team finished third in the Southwest Division.
Reed will arrive at WSU this summer, joining incoming transfers Bryana Pizzaro and Keeley Copper. The trio will be accompanied by eight freshmen, as all 11 additions are expected on campus ahead of summer training and class.
