Gymnast of the Week: Mya Lauzon, Jr., California (Kent, Wash.)

  • Captures first career Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week honor after winning the all-around in the Bears' conference-opening win at Washington (197.875 - 196.050).
  • Recorded a 39.775 to tie the program mark in the all-around, set just last week by teammate eMjae Frazier.
  • Won or earned a share of the title in every event in Seattle, winning the all-around, vault (9.925) and beam (9.975) and tying for first on bars (9.950) and floor (9.925).
  • The All-American is tied for first in the country in the all-around (39.708), is second in the nation on vault (9.950) and is tied for third on floor (9.942).
  • First time Cal has earned the Pac-12 Gymnast of the Week award in back-to-back weeks since Kyana George in 2020 (Feb. 4, Feb. 12).

  • Helped the Utes (197.725) earn a fifth straight victory at the Rio Tinto Best of Utah over BYU (195.775), No. 25 Southern Utah (194.000) and Utah State (193.600) last week.
  • The Olympian from England matched her career-high on bars with a 9.950 to tie for first, earning her first career event title.
  • Added a top-two finish on beam after posting a score of 9.950.
  • First career Specialist of the Week honor and second weekly honor overall (Freshman/Newcomer of the Week - Jan. 11, 2022).

  • Posted career-highs in all three events she competed in, winning the vault with a 9.900.
  • Added a third-place finish on the beam (9.900) and tied for fourth on the floor (9.875).
  • Became the second from Oregon State this season to earn the Freshman/Newcomer of the Week honor and fifth different Beaver to pick up a weekly honor in 2024.

  • In taking first in the all-around, matched her career high with a 39.350.
  • Tied career-high on beam with a 9.875 to win the event and finished first on floor with a 9.900, also a career-high.
  • Also tied for second on bars (9.850) and tied for fifth on vault (9.725).
  • First weekly award of her career.
