About the Pac-12

Teresa Gould was appointed Pac-12 Commissioner in February 2024 and began her tenure on March 1, 2024, becoming the first-ever female commissioner of an NCAA autonomy conference. In June 2026, the new Pac-12’s board of directors formally extended her contract through the 2030-31 season

Gould continues to guide the league through a period of unprecedented transformation, including a comprehensive process to build a new Pac-12 upon the conference’s 110-year legacy by welcoming seven new full members. Set to launch for the 2026-27 season, the new Pac-12 will include nine full member universities, including Boise State, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State, and Washington State.

As part of the league’s transformation and in addition to building a new Pac-12 with seven new members, Commissioner Gould has also overseen:

  • Pac-12 Enterprises Launch - The evolution of Pac-12 Networks into Pac-12 Enterprises, a best-in-class broadcast production company.
  • National Television Reach via Pac-12 Media Partnerships - In collaboration with media rights advisor Octagon, the league secured long-term partnerships with CBS Sports, The CW, and USA Sports. These agreements provide impactful exposure for the new league, ensuring 100% national linear television coverage for its football slate and the vast majority of its men’s basketball slate, while fully leveraging Pac-12 Enterprises’ industry-leading production resources. Additionally, these partnerships allow home kickoff times to be set across the league well ahead of time throughout the regular season.
  • Affiliate Membership & Olympic Sports Opportunities - The addition of several affiliate members across the new league’s sponsored sports, including Dallas Baptist in baseball; Southern Utah in women’s gymnastics; Air Force, Northern Colorado, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, and South Dakota State in wrestling; and California Baptist, Cal Poly, UC Riverside, and UC San Diego in men’s soccer as part of a collaborative partnership with The Big West to strengthen opportunities in the sport in the western United States.
  • Pac-12 Football Flex Week - The creation and introduction of a first-of-its-kind innovation with a home-and-home flex week for the league’s 2026 football schedule.
  • Partnership with Playfly Sports - A strategic partnership with the sports industry’s leading revenue-maximization company in Playfly Sports to serve as the new Pac-12’s partner for sponsorship development.
  • Partnerships with Genius Sports & IC360 - A multi-year integrity, technology and AI partnership with Genius Sports to power the next generation of authorized and responsible sports betting, integrity, fan engagement, and monetization, and performance analysis in college sports. As well as an expanded partnership with IC360, the global leader in sports integrity and compliance technology, to integrate ProhiBet, the industry-standard prohibited bettor solution, as a critical new layer to the league’s conference-wide integrity program.
  • Pac-12 Organizational Build - The structural development of the new Pac-12’s organizational structure as well as building the leadership team with key additions including Senior Vice President, Deputy Commissioner Rick Hart; Chief Financial Officer Kendall Tyson; Senior Vice President, Business Development & Studio Operations Michael Molinari; and the first-ever Chief Technology Officer for a collegiate conference in Scott Adametz, along with a number of other key positions.

During her initial period as commissioner, prior to the departure of 10 previous member universities, Gould focused the league's efforts on providing a best-in-class experience for all Pac-12 student-athletes while ensuring Pac-12 Networks fulfilled its broadcast obligations and continued its high standard of quality broadcast production and programming, both through the remainder of the 2023-24 season.
