Sure it's early in the season, but Washington State senior cornerback Damonte Hornton may be the defensive MVP for the Cougars.
For the second week in a row, Hornton pulled off a pick six. This time, it was a 72-yard return against Southern Utah.
In a 10-7 victory over USC last Saturday Hornton took it 70-yards to the house, scoring the only touchdown of that game. But despite the active start to the season, Hornton is still only halfway to reaching a personal best. As a sophomore, he pulled down an interception in four consecutive games.
At some point quarterbacks have to start throwing away from him, right?
