Track and Field Announces 2014 Schedule
TEMPE, Ariz.—The Arizona State track and field team announced the 2014 schedule on Tuesday, which features three home meets including the 35th Annual Sun Angel Classic, set for April 10-12.
ASU will open the 2014 outdoor portion of the schedule with its first home meet of the year, the Castillo Invitational on March 21-22, before hosting the ASU Invitational on March 28-29.
The Sun Devils will start indoor schedule with a pair of meets at Northern Arizona, the Lumberjack Invitational and the NAU Invitational, Jan. 17th and Jan. 24-25th, respectively.
Throughout the indoor slate, the ASU will travel to the University of New Mexico three times, makes two trips to meets hosted at the University of Washington, and take trips to Texas A&M’s Aggie Invite and NAU’s Mt. T Invite.
The Sun Devils will round out the indoor schedule at the NCAA Indoor Championships, March 14-15, in Albuquerque, N.M.
In April, ASU opens the month with a trip to the Stanford Invitational, April 4-5, before making the trek down I-10 to Arizona’s Jim Click Multi on April 10-11.
Following Sun Angel, ASU will travel to Walnut, Calif., for the Mt. Sac Relays, April 17-19, before traveling to UC San Diego’s Triton Invite on April 25-26.
The double-dual meet with NAU and Arizona is set for Saturday, May 3 in Tucson, while a portion of the team will return to Stanford for the Jordan Invitational on Sunday, May 4.
Washington State is set to host the 2014 Pac-12 Championships, with the multi events set for May 10-11, and the rest of the events taking place the following weekend, May 17-18.
The Sun Devils will then compete at the Tucson Elite meet, May 22-24, before traveling to Fayetteville, Ark. for the NCAA West Regional, May 29-31.
The 2014 NCAA Championships are set for June 11-14, hosted by the University of Oregon in Eugene, Ore.
