Cal’s Pro Timing Day Set for Tuesday

Mar 17, 2014

BERKELEY – Cal’s annual pro timing day for former Golden Bears that are professional football prospects is set for Tuesday, March 18. The public portion of the event at Kabam Field at California Memorial Stadium is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. PT. Fans can enter Memorial Stadium through Gate 1 at the north end of venue beginning at 3:30 p.m. Fans are not allowed on the field and will be directed onto the concourse level into designated seating areas.

Former Cal players who have completed their collegiate eligibility are eligible to participate, with the current list including RB Brendan Bigelow, OL Mark Brazinski, DL Deandre Coleman, PK Vincenzo D’Amato, LB Ryan Davis, LB Khairi Fortt, DB Josh Hill, CB Kameron Jackson, S Alex Logan, LB/DL Chris McCain, DL Viliami Moala, LS Brandon Madueño, DL Ernest Owusu, DL Kendrick Payne and TE/WR Richard Rodgers.

The list of participating former Cal players is subject to change.

Coleman, Fortt and Rodgers also took part in the 2014 NFL Scouting Combine last month in Indianapolis.

The prospects will be timed in the 40-yard dash, 20 and 60-yard shuttles, and 3 cone drill before going through position work at Memorial Stadium. Other measurable drills held earlier in the day will include the bench press, broad jump and vertical jump. The prospects will also go through a flexibility test and have their height, weight, hand width, arm length and wing span measured by personnel from NFL teams.
