Offensive power was the headline for week two of the Pac-12 softball Conference season, as the standings barely reflect the top-to-bottom depth that league teams have shown thus far ... Teams scored double-digit runs in eight games this past weekend, including one game with 31 total runs between both teams. There were also seven run-rule victories, three of which were against non-conference opponents ... With six teams ranked in the top 25 for the seventh-straight week, including five in the top 15, Pac-12 teams are in the national spotlight and deservedly so. UCLA took the top spot in both polls this week, advancing after winning a tough series against WASHINGTON which came in at fifth this week. OREGON filled UCLA’s new vacancy at second in the rankings, while ARIZONA and ARIZONA STATE came in at eighth and 11th, respectively. STANFORD rounded out the poll at 24th ... Weekly honors went to Alexa Peterson of Oregon for Player of the Week and Ally Carda of UCLA for Pitcher of the Week.
