Video: Washington training camp includes free throws and canoe races

Aug 19, 2014

A new era of Washington football will begin when the Huskies take on Hawai'i Aug. 30. Steve Sarkisian is gone to USC and Chris Petersen has been brought in from Boise State.

Petersen was wildly successfull with the Broncos in his tenure. He won 92 games in eight seasons. He led his teams to undefeated seasons in both 2006 and 2009. With a talented squad already in place, it's not hard to envision Petersen thriving in Seattle as well.

Until the games start and we know for sure, the new coach will have to go through an inevitable adjustment period. From what we learned at "Football Training Camp: Washington" Petersen seems to be transitioning with the help of healthy competition.

Check out the video above to see Pac-12 Networks' Mike Yam, Rick Neuheisel and Curtis Conway talk with Petersen about what the team is doing for fun during training camp and what he has changed from the previous era of Husky football.
