Huskies Announce 2014-15 Non-Conference Schedule

SEATTLE -  The University of Washington Men’s Basketball team will play six home games – including a Dec. 7 contest against San Diego State – five neutral site games and one true road game as part of its 2014-15 non-conference schedule, head coach Lorenzo Romar announced on Wednesday.

The Dawgs non-conference schedule features two teams that advanced to the NCAA tournament last year. San Diego State, who will come to Alaska Airlines Arena on Dec. 7, made it to the Sweet 16 a year ago and ended the season ranked 13^th nationally. UW will also face Oklahoma, who made it to the second round of the NCAA Tourney a year ago. The two teams will face off at the MGM Showcase in Las Vegas on Dec. 20 and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.

The Huskies open the season hosting South Carolina State on Nov. 14. They will then play two contests at Key Arena, first facing off against Seattle on Nov. 21 then taking on Pacific on Nov. 23 as part of the Marv Harshman Classic.

Continuing their road stretch, UW will head to Anaheim, Calif., to take part in the eight-team bracketed Wooden Legacy tournament. The Dawgs will first take on San Jose State on Nov. 27 then will face either Long Beach State or Western Michigan on Nov. 28. The final game of the tournament will take place on Nov. 30. Every game of the Wooden Legacy will be televised on one of the ESPN networks.

Following the Dec. 7 match up against San Diego State, UW hosts Eastern Washington (Dec. 14) and Grambling State (Dec. 17) before heading to face the Sooners in Vegas (Dec. 20). The Huskies conclude their non-conference slate hosting Tulane (Dec. 22) and Stony Brook (Dec. 28).

The Pac-12 schedule will be released at a later date.
