USC quarterback Cody Kessler sets two records against Notre Dame

Nov 29, 2014

This just in: Cody Kessler just threw another touchdown pass against Notre Dame.

Yes, that's a joke, but Kessler's performance against Notre Dame on Saturday was anything but.

Kessler completed 32-of-40 passes for 372 yards and six touchdown passes, five of which came in the first half. That was the first time Notre Dame has ever given up five touchdown passes in a single half. Kessler's sixth touchdown pass made him the first player to throw six touchdowns against Notre Dame -- ever.

Oh, and he did all this without playing the entirety of USC's 49-14 win against Notre Dame.

Here are two of those touchdowns from the opening half. Kessler connected with George Farmer twice on bombs of 48-yards and 31-yards, respectively.
