Miller to Take Part in ?Beat Cancer? Event

ROCHESTER, Mich. Arizona head coach Sean Miller will be among 10 elite college basketball coaches lending a hand to raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society this spring, as he will take part in a two-day “Beat Cancer” event in Bloomfield Hills, Mich.

Beginning Monday, April 13, fans can bid for the unique opportunity to spend time with their favorite coach at a private dinner and golf outing at the Oakland Hills Country Club from May 31-June 1.

The bidding will be open until May 1 and can be done online at coachesbeatcancer.org or by texting “beatcancer” to 24700.

Bidding starts at $10,000 for three golfers, with the selected coach making a foursome. The winning bidders will enjoy an exclusive experience with their selected coach at Oakland Hills CC, host of six U.S. Opens, three PGA Championships and the 2004 Ryder Cup. The package also includes a one-night hotel stay for each guest in their own room at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the American Cancer Society. Funds raised will support the Society’s mission to save lives and finish the fight against cancer.
