TUCSON, Ariz.--- The University of Arizona baseball program has been named as one of the nation's top teams heading into the 2016 season, as it received votes in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's Fabulous 40 Preseason Poll on Monday.
The Wildcats are one of eight Pac-12 teams to receive recognition in the poll with UA being placed at No. 45. Arizona welcomes back 25 returners from 2015, including All-Pac-12 performer and two-way standout Bobby Dalbec. The Cats' 2015 class was also ranked No. 19 by Collegiate Baseball back in September.
UA opens the Jay Johnson era on Feb. 19 at Rice at 5 pm MST, while Arizona's home opener will come against Cal State Fullerton on March 2 out at Hi Corbett Field.
General Admission season tickets for the four-time national champions are currently available and start at just $115 for all 31 home contests, while packages are just $100 for senior citizens and youth (ages 3-12).
