Roundup: Chip Kelly says he hasn't talked with Oregon

At his Wednesday presser, San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly said he has not talked with Oregon about the head coaching vacancy and that he is not a candidate for the opening (Nick Bromberg, Yahoo! Sports).

USC

John Taylor of NBC Sports reports that former USC head coach Lane Kiffin is in the running for the Houston head coaching job after Tom Herman left for Texas.

UCLA

He did it again – Russell Westbrook dropped his fourth straight triple-double in Oklahoma City’s overtime win over Washington Wednesday night, going for an absurd 35 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists to bump his season averages up to 31.2 points, 10.5 rebounds and 11.3 assists in 35.7 minutes per outing (Yahoo! Sports). That’s just unreal.

Stanford

Our Pac-12 Networks crew caught up with Cal basketball forward Ivan Rabb after the Golden Bears beat Louisiana Tech in overtime. Rabb scored a career-high 25 points in the dub.

Arizona State

The Arizona Republic points out the six Sun Devils who landed on the Academic All-Pac-12 first team – running back Nick Ralston, receiver Frederick Gammage, quarterback Bray White, receiver Cameron Smith, offensive lineman Stephon McCray and punter Matt Haack.

Utah

Writing for The Salt Lake Tribune, Eric Butler gives us the skinny on Utah women’s basketball’s 69-43 win over Southern Utah Wednesday. Lynne Roberts’ Utes improved to a perfect 6-0 on the season in large thanks to a 21-0 run.

Washington

Matt Norlander of CBS Sports worries that Markelle Fultz won’t get enough help from his teammates to perform on a national stage this season. Fultz is doing his thing, but the Huskies are just 4-3 after losing to TCU for the second time in a week on Wednesday night.
