AUSTIN, Texas – Arizona men's and women's swimming concluded the Texas Invitational on Saturday adding 29 more NCAA cuts. The men notched 17 'B' cuts while the women earned 11 'B' cuts and one 'A' cut. Arizona also had four top-three finishes and six top-four finishes on the night.

Overall, the Cats tallied 120 NCAA cuts at the invitational, 67 coming from the men and 53 from the women. The lady Cats earned an 'A' cut in each relay.

On the final day, the women had three top-three finishes, the first coming in the 1,650 free. Junior
Tjasa Oder placed third in the event with a time of 16:02.20. Freshman
Kirsten Jacobsen took fifth (16:12.38) while freshman
Hannah Cox took eighth (16:16.43). Sophomore
Emma McCarthy finished tenth with 16:28.74 as all four swimmers earned 'B' cuts.

Cameron McHugh then hit the wall third in the 200 back with 1:53.76 for a 'B' cut. Sophomore
Taylor Garcia and junior
Jenna Bauer also notched 'B' cuts in the event.

Katrina Konopka, McHugh and Cox finished third in the 400 free relay, touching in 3:13.63 for an NCAA 'A' cut.

Paige Kremer took sixth in the 100 free for a 'B' cut in the event. Even though the Cats didn't have swimmers in the A final of the 200 breast, junior

Kennedy Lohman and sophomore
Mackenzie Rumrill all earned 'B' cuts.

The men gave Arizona it's best finish of the night as sophomore
Justin Wright was runner-up in the 200 fly with a time of 1:42.88. Wright currently holds the school record in the event.

The Cats made up half of the A final in the 200 fly as freshman
Brendan Meyer took fourth (1:44.84), junior
Riccardo Maestri took sixth (1:46.20) and sophomore
Mathias Oh placed seventh (1:47.70). Junior
Nick Thorne then finished second in the B final with 1:44.85. All five swimmers earned 'B' cuts.

In the 200 breast, senior
Gage Crosby placed fourth, touching in 1:56.96 while sophomore Matt Salerno took fourth in the B final with 1:59.60. Both swimmers earned 'B' cuts.

Jorge Iga, sophomore
Chatham Dobbs, junior
Chad Idensohn and junior
J.P. Beach finished fourth in the 400 free relay for another relay 'B' cut (2:53.37).

Beach also earned a 'B' cut in the 100 free with a seventh-place finish (43.60). Iga then notched a 'B' cut, finishing first in the B final of the event with 43.58.

Senior
Thane Maudslien was the only Cat in the 200 back A final, taking eighth with 1:44.08 and earning a 'B' cut. Freshman

Matt Lujan and freshman
Steven Medvedev also earned 'B' cuts.

In the 1,650 free, junior
Chris Wieser took ninth with a time of 15:09.74. Freshman Jared Kaskawal placed 12th (15:25.82) followed by Meyer (15:26.89). All three men notched 'B' cuts. Â
