2017 National Signing Day: 4-star linebacker chooses Florida; no, Florida State; actually, USC

Feb 1, 2017
@ESPNU

We've seen some interesting National Signing Day announcements over the years, and the 2017 edition got off to a roaring start with Levi Jones, a 4-star linebacker from Austin, Texas. At his signing press conference, Jones took off his hoodie to reveal a Florida Gators longsleeved shirt. A nice get for the Gators...

But wait, there's some maroon under that Florida shirt. Could that be a Florida State shirt? He wouldn't do that to Jim McElwain, would he? He's going to Florida State! Now that's how you rub salt into the wound of your SEC rival.

Getting warm in this press confernece; time to shed a layer and REVEAL A CARDINAL AND GOLD SC LONGSLEEVE. Fight on, baby.

Nice start to the day for the Trojans, who get a top-200 prospect overall and No. 11 outside linebacker in the class of 2017 according to Scout. As of Wedensday morning, the Trojans have the No. 11 recruiting class in the nation with a chance to jump up even further with a few more big unsigned fish still out in the seas.
