MEN’S SWIMMER OF THE MONTH (December 2022): Bjorn Seelinger, Jr., California (Södertälje, Sweden)
- At the Minnesota Invitational, Seelinger won two individual events, was runner up in one, and assisted the Golden Bears to three relay wins.
- His final time of 18.73 in the 50 free was good for first place, an NCAA A qualifying time and the third fastest time in the nation.
- His 41.68 in the 100 free also gave him the third-fastest time in the nation and earned him an NCAA B qualifying standard time.
- Helped the Bears to wins in the 400 medley, 200 free and 200 medley relays and finished second in the 100 back by less than a second to teammate Destin Lasco.
MEN’S DIVER OF THE MONTH (December 2022): Joshua Thai, Fr., California (Alhambra, Calif.)
- Competed at the Minnesota Invitational, placing first in the 1-meter dive (346.45), second in the platform finals (324.95) and fourth in the 3-meter dive (333.00).
- With his first-place Minnesota Invitational win, he became the first Cal diver since 2019 to win a diving event (Connor Callahan, Feb. 8, 2019).
- Hit Zone E marks in all three dives (1-meter, 3-meter, platform)
