SAN FRANCISCO – Colorado's soccer team had nine players earn Pac-12 All-Academic honors on Wednesday. Kelsey Aaknes, Courtney Fedor, Erin Greening, Sarah Kinzner, Megan Massey, Hannah Scheid, Jalen Tompkins, Alex Vidger and Scout Watson were all named to the Pac-12 All-Academic Honor Roll.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Four Colorado women's soccer players were named to the All-West Region teams on Wednesday by the United Soccer Coaches. Taylor Kornieck was selected to the first team, Joss Orejel was named to the second team, and Jalen Tompkins and Becca Rasmussen were both on the third team. It is tied for the most all-region players CU has had from the coaches association in school history, matching the total from 2005.
CARY, N.C. – No. 2 North Carolina scored in the 26th minute and held on for a 1-0 victory over Colorado on Friday evening at WakeMed Soccer Park. The Buffs ended their season with a 12-6-4 record, while UNC improved to 17-2-2.
BOULDER – Colorado's women's soccer team will head to North Carolina on Friday to take on the No. 2-ranked Tar Heels in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. It is a rematch of CU's second-round match in 2014 when UNC edged the Buffs 1-0 in overtime.
BOULDER – Colorado scored two second-half goals to rally for a 2-1 win over Denver on Sunday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at Prentup Field. The Buffs improved to 12-5-4 overall, while DU ended its season at 11-9-1.
