Men?s Tennis Heads to San Diego

Men?s Tennis Heads to San Diego

TUCSON, Ariz. – Arizona men’s tennis assistant coach Arron Spencer will take four members of the team to San Diego State for the Aztec Invitational running Oct. 4 thru 0ct. 6.

Senior Fredrik Ask, junior Carlos Bermudez and sophomores Matt Dunn and Naoki Takeda will compete in the three-day tournament.

This will be the second tournament of the season for each of the four. Takeda previously went 1-2 in the Napa Valley Invitational, while Bermudez and Dunn competed in the Aggie Invitational, posting records of 1-2 and 3-1, respectively.

Ask is coming off an appearance in the ITA All-American Championships, in which he went 0-1 in singles.

Ask will compete in doubles with Takeda, while Bermudez and Dunn will match up for the other pairing.

This will mark the first time of the year Ask and Takeda compete together in doubles. Bermudez and Dunn posted a record of 2-2 in their appearance together in the Aggie Invitational.
