Windy City Collegiate Classic Next for Women?s Golf

TUCSON, Ariz. University of Arizona women’s golf is back at it after a runner-up finish at the Annika Invitational last week. The Wildcats will play at the seventh annual Windy City Collegiate Classic on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 6-7. Northwestern will host the event at Westmoreland Country Club (6,291 yards, par 72).

Teams will play 36 holes on Monday starting at 5:30 a.m. MST/7:30 a.m. CT. The final 18 holes with be played Tuesday, starting at 5:30 a.m. MST/7:30 a.m. CT.

For the second-straight tournament, Arizona’s lineup will include senior Manon Gidali, senior Kendall Prince, freshman Krystal Quihuis, junior Lindsey Weaver and sophomore Wanasa Zhou. Arizona, Georgia, Iowa State, Kentucky, Miami, Minnesota, New Mexico, Northwestern, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Purdue, USC, Tulane and Wisconsin make the up the field of teams.

Weaver is the defending medalist at the Windy City Collegiate Classic. In 2013, Arizona earned a third-place finish at the event.
