TUCSON, Ariz. – The 34th-ranked Arizona men's tennis team (13-3), who is coming off a 6-1 win over No. 47 Iowa on Monday, will play in their final non-conference match of the season vs. Drake (14-8) on Wednesday, March 20 at noon MST at the LaNelle Robson Tennis Center.
Arizona has won eight home matches in a row coming into Wednesday's match.
Filip Malbasic broke back into the ITA Singles Rankings on Tuesday and is ranked No. 105 in the country. The sophomore is 13-2 on the season in singles play, including an 8-2 record on the No. 2 court. He has also played the majority of his doubles matches alongside
Alejandro Reguant and the duo is 7-3 on the season.
Carlos Hassey and Reguant are second on the team with 11 singles wins on the season. Hassey has done his damage on court five while Reguant has eight wins on court four. Reguant has won eight of his last nine matches.
Senior
Jonas Maier has double-figure wins on the season, with seven of them coming on court six and has won six of his last eight singles matches.
Igor Karpovets has spent time on courts one two and three this season, and has posted a record of 9-3 so far.
At the top of the lineup has been
Jonas Ziverts, who has six wins in the top spot in the lineup in his first season in collegiate tennis.
