AUSTIN, Texas– The Cats sit in 13th place with 48.5 points after the first full day of competition. Eleven different athletes in five events earned All-American Honorable Mention, as Arizona has already surpassed last season's point total.
All-America Honors
To open competition on Wednesday night, the 800 free relay team finished thirteenth.
Kirsten Jacobsen,
Hannah Cox,
Ayumi Macias, and
Jamie Stone earned All-American Honorable Mention with 6:59.47, a season-best.
Beginning Thursday finals, the Wildcats finished thirteenth with 1:38.63 in the 200 free relay.
Katrina Konopka,
Kayla Filipek, Stone, and
Ashley Sutherland earned All-American Honorable Mention in the race.
Cox won the 500 free B final with a personal best and fourth-fastest time in school history 4:36.04. Jacobsen took third in the consolation final with 4:37.87, also earning All-American Honorable Mention.
Delaney Schnell finished fifth in the 1 meter B final with 291.50, earning All-American Honorable Mention.
To close out the first full day of competition, the 400 medley relay team finished tenth.

Mallory Korenwinder,
Mackenzie Rumrill, and Konopka earned All-American Honorable Mention with a season-best 3:31.08.
Personal Bests
Junior Cox set a personal best in the 500 free by winning the B final with 4:36.04, the fourth-fastest in school history.
Mackenzie Rumrill finished 31
st in the 200 IM with 1:57.45, a personal-best and eighth-fastest in school history.
Season Bests
In the 800 free relay, Jacobsen, Cox, Macias, and Stone earned a season-best 6:59.47 and All-American Honorable Mention.
The 400 medley relay team, consisting of Bernal, Korenwinder, Rumrill, and Konopka, earned a season-best and All-American Honorable Mention with 3:31.08.
Additional Results
Junior Macias placed 39
th with 4:43.23 in the 500 free.
Mik Ranslem placed 50
th with 1:59.19.
Senior Konopka finished 30
th in the 50 free with 22.38.
