PALOS VERDES, Calif. -- The Arizona women's golf team delivered its best performance of the week on Wednesday, finishing second at the Pac-12 Championships.
Freshman
Ya Chun Chang had one of her best performances of the year, notching a fourth-place finish in a stacked field after shooting 2-under in the final round. Sophomore
Yu-Sang Hou played a wonderful back nine for the second day in a row to finish in the top ten. Senior
Haley Moore also rallied on the back nine to shoot 72 (+1) and match Hou's tournament score of 4-over. Senior
Bianca Pagdanganan mixed four birdies with four bogeys to shoot even-par in the final round and finish in a tie for 20th. Junior
Sandra Nordaas played her best round of the week, carding a 1-under 70, and finishing in a tie for 25th.
The Cats bested seven ranked teams this week, only falling to No. 1 ranked USC. Chang led the field in birdies this week, tallying three more than the next closest. She also tied for the best par-3 scoring (-2). Moore tied for the most pars this week with 41, and Hou tied for the third best score on par-5s (-3).
This concludes a successful regular season for the Wildcats. Next up are the NCAA Regional Championships, where the Cats will begin their national title defense. The field selection for regionals takes place on April 24th.
