Pac-12 Softball Weekly Awards - March 16, 2021

Player and Freshman of the Week: Alyssa Brito, Fr., IF, OREGON (Tustin, Calif.)

• Highlighted Oregon’s three-game series sweep of Sacramento State, contributing in a myriad of ways to the Ducks’ 33 total runs scored. 
• Led the team in batting average (.667), RBIs (nine) and runs scored (six) over the weekend, punctuated by two home runs and a double. 
• Contributed a career-high five RBIs in the series-opener before adding another four on Sunday, capped off by a two-out grand slam. 
• Second Pac-12 Freshman of the Week award of the season and first career Pac-12 Player of the Week accolade. 

Pitcher of the Week: Mariah Lopez, Sr., P, ARIZONA (Saugus, Calif.)

• Threw seven shutout innings in a 1-0 win over then-No. 15 Florida State on the road. 
• Surrendered just three hits and a walk, striking out nine hitters. 
• Allowed just two baserunners to reach scoring position. 
• Second career Pac-12 Player of the Week; transferred from Oklahoma prior to last season.
