Pac-12 Men's Golfer of the Week (2/6/24): Wenyi Ding, ARIZONA STATE (Fr., Beijing, China)

  • Finished runner-up in his first collegiate stroke-play event, firing a 17-under-par 199 (65-67-67) at Arizona's 18-team National Invitational Tournament which featured eight top-50 programs.
  • The No. 13 ranked amateur golfer in the world matched the ASU freshman record score in relation to par, equaling Chun An Yu's 17-under at the N.I.T. in 2017. 
  • Led the Sun Devils to a third-place team finish at 49-under 815 (269-276-270), the eighth-best tournament total in relation to par in Pac-12 history.
  • First career Pac-12 weekly honor for Ding.

Pac-12 Women's Golfer of the Week (2/6/24): Charlotte Back, ARIZONA (Fr., Heidelberg, Germany)

  • Swept all three of her matches at the rain-shortened, format-switched Therese Hession Regional Challenge.
  • Opened with a 3&1 victory over South Carolina senior Sophia Burnett, followed by wins over Mississippi State sophomore Surapa Janthamunee (4&2) and Clemson senior Annabelle Pancake (2&1).
  • Back's victories helped the 26th-ranked Wildcats defeat the No. 25 Bulldogs (3-2-0) and No. 16 Tigers (4-1-0).
  • First career Pac-12 weekly honor for Back.
