Men’s Track Athlete of the Week: Evan Jenkins, R-Fr., Washington (Camas, Wash.)

  • Became the NCAA leader in the men’s 10,000m with a victory in the event at the Stanford Invite, clocking a time of 24:04.58 in his outdoor debut for the Huskies. 
  • Broke the Washington school record in the event by over seven seconds (Kieran Lumb, 28:11.49 – 2022).

Women’s Track Athlete of the Week: Maddy Elmore, So., Oregon (Eugene, Ore)

  • Historic performance in the 5000m at the Stanford Invite, clocking a program-record time of 15:15.79 for the event victory. 
  • Broke the 39-year-old Oregon record in the event that was set by Kathy Hayes in 1985 (15:23.03). 
  • No. 9 all-time collegiate performer in the 5000m.
  • Leads the nation with the time and now ranks second all-time in Pac-12 history in the event, trailing only Aisling Cuffe from Stanford (15:11.13 – 2014).

Men’s Field Athlete of the Week: Trevontay Smith, Fr., Washington (Yelm, Wash.)

  • Won the collegiate competition in the men’s triple jump at the Stanford Invite in his outdoor debut for the Huskies, clearing a wind-legal 15.70m (51-06.25).
  • Leads the Pac-12 in the event and ranks eighth nationally thus far in the outdoor season. 
  • Cleared over two feet further than his indoor season-best mark of 15.02m (49-03.50).

Women’s Field Athlete of the Week: Hana Moll, Fr., Washington (Olympia, Wash.)

  • NCAA indoor pole vault champion made her outdoor debut for Washington, finishing second at the Texas Relays over the weekend with a national-best clearance of 4.50m (14-9).
  • Moves into third place all-time in Washington outdoor history in the event. 
  • The 4.50m clearance is also good for the Washington freshman record.
