Matty Bianchi, Sr., Little Rock (Two Rivers, Wis.) 

For the second time this season and fourth time in his career, Little Rock’s Matty Bianchi was named Pac-12 Wrestler of the Week.  Bianchi previously won on November 19th of this season as well as February 11, 2025 and February 1, 2023.  He joins Oregon State’s Maximo Renteria as the only Pac-12 grapplers to earn the award multiple times this season and gives Little Rock claim to the honor in four of the seven weeks this season.

Bianchi went 5-0 on the way to capturing the 165-pound title during the Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga, Tennessee over the weekend. He scored all five of his points in the third period of the gold medal match, including a late takedown of No. 22 Gunner Filipowicz of Army to take the top place on the podium with a 5-1 decision. It was Bianchi’s second ranked win of the tournament after beating No. 19 Thomas Snipes of The Citadel on a 4-1 decision in the semis.  

Bianchi is now 12-0 this season and is one win from No. 75 for his collegiate career.
