SEATTLE, Wash. -  The Arizona baseball team closed out its 2002 season with a 5-2 win over Washington at Husky Ballpark on Sunday afternoon. The victory improved Arizona's final record to 31-24 overall for the season and 9-15 in the Pac-10. The Huskies, who will most likely continue on in the NCAA Championship Tournament, ended the regular season 30-25-1 overall and 15-9 in conference play.

The Wildcats rallied for five runs in the seventh inning to avoid a series sweep to the Huskies. Moises Duran's three-run homer to left highlighted the scoring for the Wildcats, who also plated runs on Pat Reilly's sac fly and Brian Anderson's ground out.

Reliever Chris Goodman (5-2) picked up his fifth victory of the season with two innings of work. Anderson worked the final 1.1 innings for his fourth save.

Seven Arizona seniors completed their eligibility on Sunday. Kevin Anderson, Clayton Bried, Chris Cunningham, Brad Hassey, Kevin Sears, Matt Wersel and Wes Zlotoff all played in their final game in an Arizona uniform.
