Johns-Richardson Earns Honorable Mention to 2005 All-Big 12 Team

BOULDER - University of Colorado senior guard Veronica Johns-Richardson earned honorable mention to the 2005 All Big 12 Conference women's basketball team the league office announced Friday.

 

Johns-Richardson averaged 10.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, three assists and two steals per game for the Buffaloes during the regular season. Her steals and assists numbers rank sixth and 13th in the Big 12 respectively, and she also ranks 14th on the league charts in 3-point field-goal percentage (.407). Her field goal percentage of .484 during conference games ranks seventh in the Big 12.  Johns-Richardson is 10th on CU's all-time 3-point field goal list with 65 and is also among the school's top 25 in assists and steals.

 

Colorado, 9-18 overall, heads to the Big 12 Tournament March 8-10 & 12, at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo. The 12th seeded Buffaloes will face No. 5 seed Iowa State University on Tuesday, March 8, at 1:30 p.m. MST in a first round contest.
