Buffs Trio On Academic All-Big 12 Team

Senior forward Sarah Lini and junior guard Whitney Law were named to the 2005 Women's Basketball Academic All-Big 12 first team while senior guard Veronica Johns-Richardson was selected to the second team.

Lini, a native of Aarhus, Denmark, has played every game for the Buffaloes this season averaging 2.7 points and 1.7 rebounds per game. She A finance major, Lini is scheduled to graduate this spring.

Law, a kinesiology major, makes her first appearance on the academic team in her first year of eligibility after transferring from Georgia. A native of Littleton, Colo., Law is second on the squad in assists (48) and steals (31) and is sixth in scoring (6.3 ppg).

Johns-Richardson earns her third straight mention to the Academic All-Big 12 team, her second straight on the second team. Believed to be the only CU women's basketball player to graduate in three years, Johns-Richardson earned a degree in marketing in May of 2004 and has been working on a second degree in sociology. She leads the Buffaloes in assists (82), steals (54) and 3-point field-goal percentage (.407).
