Jeffery, Kresl Earn Media All-Pac-12 Honors

BOULDER - Members of the media covering Pac-12 Conference women's basketball honored two University of Colorado Buffaloes Monday, naming Chucky Jeffery to the All-Pac-12 team and Lexy Kresl to the league's All-Freshman squad. The postseason honors are a first for both players.

Jeffery leads Colorado at 15.2 points, 7.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game. She is prominent on the Pac-12 leader board, ranking in the Top 15 in 11 categories. The junior guard ranks fourth in assists and steals (2.4 spg), sixth in 3-point percentage (.363), seventh in scoring and defensive rebounds (5.6 drpg), 10th in double-doubles (6), 11th in overall rebounding and free-throw percentage (.713), 12th in assist-to-turnover ratio (0.9), 13th in field-goal percentage (.445) and 14th in blocked shots (0.9 bpg).

Jeffery has scored in double-figures in 25 of Colorado's 29 games and has reached the 20-point mark on six occasions. She has led or shared the team lead in scoring in 19 contests this season. She was the MVP of CU's Omni Hotels Classic and was named Pac-12 Women's Basketball Player of the Week on Dec. 4.

Kresl averages 9.5 points per game ranking fifth among freshmen in the Pac-12. She leads Colorado in 3-point field goals and has the most among freshmen in the Pac-12 at 55. Her 6-of-7 from downtown performance against Oregon State in the regular season finale ranks as the top performance in the Pac-12 this season. Overall she ranks fourth in the league in 3-point field goals, 15th in 3-point percentage and 27th in scoring.

Stanford's Nnemkadi Ogwumike was named the media's Pac-12 Player of the year and shares the Defensive Player of the Year honor with USC's Briana Gilbreath. Washington's Jazmine Davis is the Freshman of the Year and Oregon State's Scott Rueck is the Coach of the Year.

The Pac-12 Postseason awards as voted on by the league's coaches will be announced on Tuesday.
