Buffs On The Road For WNIT Second Round At South Dakota

BOULDER - The University of Colorado will play its second round Postseason WNIT game at the University of South Dakota on Monday, March 19, at 6 p.m. MDT, at the DakotaDome in Vermillion, S.D.

South Dakota, 23-7 overall, advanced to the second round by defeating Drake University, 61-53, at the DakotaDome on Thursday. The Coyotes, who become eligible for  NCAA Division I championships beginning next season after a four-year transition from NCAA Division II,  placed third in the regular season Summit League standings at 12-6

Colorado, 19-13 overall, advanced to the second round with a 54-42 win over Northern Colorado on March 14. The Buffaloes are 8-3 all-time in the WNIT, advancing to the quarterfinals in 2011 and the semifinals in 2008.

This will mark Colorado's second-ever WNIT road game. The Buffaloes defeated Wyoming, 70-58, in Laramie in the third round of last year's WNIT.

Colorado finished 10th in its first year in the Pac-12 Conference with a record of 6-12. The Buffaloes are one of five Pac-12 Conference.
