Nine from Pac-12 invited to USA Softball women's national team camp

OKLAHOMA CITY - Nine Pac-12 softball players are among the 32 invitees to the 2013 USA Softball Women's National Team Selection Camp, the Amateur Softball Association (ASA) of America announced Monday. The camp will be held June 10-12 in Oklahoma City, Okla. Thirty-two athletes will vie for 17 spots on the 2013 USA Softball Women's National Team roster, which will be announced Friday, June 14.

The 17 athletes selected to the USA Softball roster will compete in three separate events in three different countries. The team will begin in the United States as they look to defend their 2012 Gold Medal at the World Cup of Softball VIII, July 11-14 in Oklahoma City. Following the World Cup, the Women's National Team will travel to the Canadian Open Fast Pitch International Championship in Surrey, B.C., Canada July 16-22. The team will finish up the tour in San Juan, Puerto Rico Aug. 5-18 at an International Softball Federation (ISF) Women's World Championship/Pan American Games qualifier.
