Manasse Wins Manhattan Beach Open

MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. – Incoming women’s tennis freshman Maegan Manasse dominated the field to capture the women’s open title at the recent Manhattan Beach Open in Live Oak Park. She bageled former UCLA Bruin Helen Tu, 6-0, 6-0, in a 45-minute final match.

The new Golden Bear did not lose a set and only lost two games in the tournament.

A product of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Mira Costa Costa High School, Manasse is the younger sister of Cal alumna Stephanie Manasse, who played for the Bears in 2005.
