Volleyball Sweeps Past Eastern Kentucky, 3-0

TUCSON, Ariz. – A balanced offensive output and some solid defense lifted the Arizona volleyball team to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-14) sweep of Eastern Kentucky on day two of the Arizona Desert Classic, Saturday morning inside McKale Center.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The University of Colorado volleyball team improved to 3-0 at the Candlewood Suites Invitational on Saturday morning with a four set win against Rutgers (25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14).

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The University of Colorado volleyball team picked up a pair of wins on Saturday to win the Candlewood Suites Invitational. The Buffs capped off the invite with a sweep of Syracuse (25-22, 25-19, 25-20) on Saturday night after defeating Rutgers in four sets (25-15, 23-25, 25-20, 25-14) in the morning. Junior Taylor Simpson was named the tournament’s most valuable player and sophomore Nicole Edelman was selected to the all-tournament team.

AUSTIN, Texas – The second-ranked Stanford women’s volleyball team dropped a 28-26, 25-17, 18-25, 25-22 decision to No. 8 Florida, Saturday, at Gregory Gymnasium in Austin, Texas. The Cardinal falls to 2-1 on the season, while the Gators move to 5-0.

10th-Ranked Bruins Suffer First Loss of Season to #9 Hawai’i

HONOLULU, Hawai’i — Senior Kelly Reeves led the 10th-ranked Bruins with eight kills, junior Karsta Lowe added seven kills and sophomore Rachel Inouye had eight digs, but UCLA lost in three sets at #9 Hawai’i on Saturday in the championship match of the Hawaiian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic. Set scores were 25-18, 25-17, 25-18.

Bricio Hammers Huskies as No. 3 USC Takes Four-Set Win Over NIU

DEKALB, Ill. — USC women's volleyball sophomore outside hitter Samantha Bricio powered the Trojan offense with 20 points on 16 kills (4e, 37att, .324), two service aces, and two solo blocks as the Women of Troy moved to 6-0 on the season with a 3-1 win over Northern Illinois (25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-16) at Victor E. Husky Court on Saturday, Sept. 7. The Huskies fell to 3-3.

DENTON, Texas — Junior outside hitter Alli Spurrier hit .456 on the attack with a season-high .456 hitting percentage as the University of Utah volleyball team swept Prairie View A&M, 3-0 (25-14, 25-16, 25-13) on Saturday in the Mean Green Volleyball Center.

DENTON, Texas — Thanks to a .414-.128 advantage in team hitting as well as a 10.0-1.0 edge in blocking, the University of Utah volleyball team clinched the North Texas Invitational title with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-15) victory over Northwestern State on Saturday in the Mean Green Volleyball Center.

Take Two: Huskies Top Canada A Second Time

SEATTLE – The venue may have changed, but the score remained the same, as the Husky volleyball team won 3-1 for the second consecutive night over the Canadian National Team. After earning a 3-1 win last night at KeyArena, the Huskies were back at Alaska Airlines Arena tonight and posted a 24-26, 25-20, 25-16, 25-21 win in front of 1,421 fans.

WSU Volleyball Takes 3-1 Win over Montana
