NORMAN, Okla.—Holding on tight and within championship contention, the Arizona State women’s golf team moves into second place at the Schooner Fall Classic, Sunday, in Norman, Okla. The Sun Devils shot a second-round total of 15-over 295 for a cumulative score of 28-over 588 (293-295) and are two shots off tournament leader LSU.
Senior Justine Lee continues to lead all Sun Devils individually at 4-over 144 (71-73) and is currently tied for sixth overall. Junior Noemi Jimenez carded the lowest round of the day for Arizona State, shooting 1-over in the second round to jump into the top-10 and tie for ninth place.
The top-four teams: LSU, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma – are all within a handful of strokes of each other and will make for a contentious final round of play.
The final round of the Schooner Invitational concludes Monday at the par-70, 6,082-yard Belmar Golf Club in Norman, Okla. Live scoring is available at www.birdiefire.com.
